RCCL: Navigator vs. Voyager for young couple, no kids to Caribbean?
We are looking to book a cruise for April (7 night Caribbean, same week - April 10 or 11). I have it narrowed down to the Royal Caribbean Navigator and Voyager. We are a newly married couple, no kids, going on a vacation with my very active parents. It seems almost like I like the Navigator ship better and the Voyager ports better (but looking for your opinions on this) Your opinions are greatly appreciated!!
Navigator:
- seems like it has more "adult" options including wine bar, coffee shop, latin club and chops steakhouse
- a little newer
- same size as Voyager
- Ports are Nassau, San Juan, St Thomas and Labadee (not too exciting, huh?)
Voyager:
- a few less "adult" options for activities
- a little older
- same size as Navigator
- Ports are Cozumel, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Labadee (a little more exciting perhaps?)
THOUGHTS?? THANKS!!!!

CruiseCritic's RCCL board will provide you all the info you need. It is very active!
The ships are sister ships with the Navigator being newer. Either ship will be fine for you. There will be kids on both ships since RCCL's Voyager class ship attracts kids.
After going to the Caribbean 10x, I prefer to go West but if this is your first trip, either will be fine.

We just returned from the Navigator two weeks ago on the Western Caribbean (Labadee, Ochos Rios, Grand Cayman, Cozumel), and I would highly recommend this trip. In Ochos Rios, visit Dunns River Falls, in Grand Cayman, check out Captain Marvins (search this website) for snorkeling. This time in Cozumel we visited the Mayan ruins. Fun, but it took the entire day, and we couldn't go shopping.
Good luck.
Good luck.

A lot will depend on when you go and it looks like you are probably okay but you could hit a spring break week.
We cruised aboard the Navigator last year and it was nice. We take our daughter who is now 12 but I wouldn't say there were just a whole lot of kids - even though we travel with her, we can't stand being around too many kids. We've not had problems on any of the RCCL cruises.
Our worst experience was with NCL being put in the middle of a bunch of kids on their senior trip - smoking & partying in the hall all night, sitting on the steps and not moving so that you could go up or down them, throwing up everywhere, yelling and even setting the trash can on fire at midnight - we reported it because the smoke woke us up but they didn't even realize what was going on. The boat even delayed leaving port because they had so many that were 'missing' - they went to the really popular local bar on the main strip trying to round them up.
