European River Cruises

Has anyone ever been on one? Which line, where to, MY Dh and I like cruises and I was thinking about doing one of these? We're early 30s what is the crowd like? I expect older? Thoughts on them?

Just returned from Christmas Market
River Cruise. Loved it!!!. Average
age was 60's...but younger would have
enjoyed it. Boat travelled at night;
leaving your days free for sightseeing.
Everything was bathed in snow...simply
breathtaking...but why I went. Xmas
markets are really fun...but like
charming...to enjoy but not buy. We
liked Grand Circle...guides were young...cute...they're called Program
Directors. Ours was a ski instructor
too.
If you're searching for cruising with
lots of nightlife, this is not for you.

We traveled on the Po River--Cremona to Venice on Sea Cloud cruises with the Met Museum. Fabulous! Try arrangementsabroad.com.

We went on the MS Cezanne down the Rhone from Arles to Lyon...

Incredible scenery, good but not great food, small and lots of Europeans ( which was really fun! ) and yes, the age is around 50-60ish...

But I still think you would have fun as the excursions are lots of fun...

We had a blast ( we are in our mid 50's ) and it was super relaxing...

Thanks, I think we'd really enjoy it. Don't care much for boat activities, just want to see lots of places and have the convienience of staying in the same place each night. I've been to quite a few places in Europe but DH has never been. Glad to hear it's not jsut Americans who take the cruise@
