Any suggestions for a English speaking guide/car for day stop with cruise?

I can't help you with the name of a private guide but can tell you the best thing we found about Belize City was seeing it in the rearview mirror as we left. That's one place we'd never go back to.

Have you tried the port board on cruise critic? You could probably get something there.

We too stopped in Belize city once and ventured out past the shops set up on the pier. However it looked so seedy we didn't go very far at all.

I went to Belize with Island Expeditions and the local guides they used were excellent. They don’t do day tours themselves but have been a presence in Belize for many years and might be able to recommend someone.
