We loved Princess Cays when there in April. It was the last stop of our 10 day Southern Caribbean cruise and a very pleasant way to end it.

The ship tenders run back and forth all day long. There are plenty of restrooms (and very clean) on the island. There is a small shopping area and you can use your Ship Card to pay for stuff there. There are also a few shops "outside the Princess area" and if you go back there you need to show your ship ID to go out and come back.

If you get off the tender and go to the left you will encounter the area with alot of lounge chairs, palm trees and the shops. Also the picnic area for the lunch buffet is over to the that way, along with bar. The food was OK, not as good as we had on the ship, but then again I am not a buffet/picnic kind of person :-). The area to rent paddle boats, banana boats etc. is also right there when you get off tender.

We walked about a mile off to the left, it's rocky so you need to watch your step as you get off the Princess area.

To the right when you get off tender is another beach area with chairs, trees etc. Also more clean restrooms.

There are water stations conveniently placed around public areas too which is very handy. No need to take a water bottle over with you at all.

We stayed all day on Princess Cay, took the last tender back to the ship! It was not crowded (I think only one ship comes at a time) at all and people were all spread out along the sand.

It is probably not the greatest beach in the world, there was a fair amount of damage there last year with one of the many hurricanes and Princess had to re-build. For a day of just laying around and relaxing it is a great place.

Incidentally, the shops outside the Princess area do not take the Ship card, I thought I better mention that.

We rented the Cabana when we went. For $25 it was very much worth it.
