Pregnant Cruiser?
 

Hi all,<BR><BR>I have finally got my husband to consider a cruise as a viable vacation option. I really hope it works out--I have always wanted to go on a cruise!<BR><BR>This is the question: we want to go on a trip to the carribean in February when I'll be about 5 months along. Is a cruise a good idea for a pregnant lady? So far I'm not terribly sick and I don't have any complications.<BR><BR>Thanks for any and all advice.<BR>Kelly

I looked at RCCL's rules and they will not allow anyone in their third trimester to cruise.<BR><BR>Not sure which cruiselien you are going - but I would call them directly and find out.<BR><BR>Good luck and congrats on the baby!

I don't believe you'll have any problems, or constraints for being, from what I understood, in your sixth month of pregnancy.<BR><BR>Theresa,<BR><BR>If I understood correctly, and Kelly will be five, or five and a half months pregnant, she'll be still in the second trimester, not third. <BR><BR>I cruised once with my daughter in her (late) sixth month of pregnancy and everything went quite smoothly. Surlock -<BR><BR>I understood that she was in her second trimester. I just found what RCCL requirements were and thought they may vary from cruiseline to cruiseline - thus I stated their requirements and encouraged her to call the cruiseline. Sorry I wasn't more clear.

HI Kelly:<BR><BR>We took a Norwgian Cruise Line Cruise to Hawaii over Christmas & New Year.<BR>There requirementas on pregnancy was that you must not have entered your 24th week prior to the end of the cruise. My daughter had to get a letter from her Dr. because she would enter her 24th week the day after the cruise ended.<BR>All went well and we had a great time.<BR>So if you can do itm give it a try.

<BR>Dear Kelly,<BR><BR>Please do not listen to the ones that tell you to "just go" or "wing it." Cruise lines have very strong pregnancy policies so either have your travel agent call the special needs depatment or try to get hold of the department yourself.
