Portside or Starbord on <Venice to Barcelona> cruise? Fore or aft?
Hi,
We are taking the 12nt Mediterranean cruise from Venice to Barcelona.
See below for the actual route:
http://www.celebrity.com/package.as....p;s=AE6730C25B
Should we choose portside or starboard on the Celebrity Millenium?
The cruise includes portcalls in Venice, Dubrovnik, Pireaus (Athens), Santorini, Naples, Civitavecchia(Rome), Livorna, Villefranche and lastly Barcelona.
Does it matter whether where the cabin is located i.e. aft(back) or fore(front) of the ship? I am prone to getting slight seasick....
Any advice on the specific <cabin with balcony i.e. 2A> I should go for?
What is better i.e. skydeck or panaroma?...or is there no difference?
HELP!
Any advice is much appreciated.

I have done similar itinerary several times and been on both sides of the ship. When you're docked it is sometimes just the luck of the draw as to which side has the best view depending upong how it is docked (and this can vary from sailing to sailing). It would appear that starboard would be the better side but from experience, this isn't always the case.
As for motion sickness, you do NOT want to be in the front or the back. The most stable location is a lower deck and midship. In this location, you should be fine. Have a great time.

I agree since I too have been on both sides of the ship. Some ports the starboard may be better and in other ports the port side may be better. I agree that you will want to be mid-ship and low for smoothest sailing.

If you are nervous about being sea sick my sister swears by the bands that you wear on your wrists. Her doctor said that it is better than the patch. She is prone to getting sick by the snap of your fingers. She has been great and we will all be taking our 3rd cruise this christmas.
