Port Canaveral Query

Ship is stopping here for 10 hours in late Feb.

Can previous pax tell me what else there is to do besides all the theme parks that they have enjoyed seeing?

thanks in advance.

There's not a whole lot to do, but if you want to shop, Ron Jon's Surf Shop is not far. It is huge, pretty famous and has lots of swimwear for your cruise :)

I certainly wouldn't bother with the theme parks ... not enough time. But the Kennedy Space Center is great. Otherwise, it's just hanging around Cocoa Beach.

thanks all. And yes Doug, I agree whch is why I asked.
So it'll be the Space Center or staying local.

What else can you do? If you have a rental car...

1. Brevard Zoo
2. A 2-hour boat ride on the Indian River Lagoon with Island Boat Lines http://www.islandboatlines.com/Home_Page.php
3. An airboat ride at Lone Cabbage Fish Camp http://www.twisterairboatrides.com/

If you're looking for a drink or bite to eat, try Coconut's on the Beach:

We visited the beach for a day a few years ago, and were STARVING after a day in the sun. The rooftop restaurant had wonderful views, and the food was great. (Though it may have been a case of being so hungry that anything would have tasted good!)
