Please advise on favorite cruise destination.
I'm looking to take a 7+ day cruise and would love suggestions on favorite destinations and which cruise line to take.
I'm looking for more of tropical cruise and those for young adults (no children or seniors.) If you have and suggestions or questions please respond. Thanks! |
Way too broad have a look here cruisecritic.com vacationstogo.com RCL best line for younger crowd
at affordable pricepoints. I like adventure so western Carib CA for me. Eastern Carib more beach party shopping.Check reviews on each [email protected] good for special needs for me in the past.Post up specifically travel likes budget others can help further. |
Cruises are very popular with seniors--so I think it may be difficult to find a cruise without them.
A friend loves Windstar, and I think that line is less appealing to seniors and families with children. |
When you say young adults, I am guessing under 30.
For that, and 7+ days, I would suggest Carnival cruise to the Western Caribbean. There will be some seniors but not as much as Princess, Hollands or Celebrity. Royal Carribbean is okay as well. Western Caribeban typically has much younger crowd. For a "party" cruise, do the 3 or 4 days to the Bahamas. Those are the cruises filled with activities and maybe only one port call. They are typically much cheaper, and lots of young adults looking for action. Proportionately, the seniors as a group in criues that I have been to are getting smaller adn smaller, and sometimesx, it is even more destination driven. I would say the average crowd now age between 45 to 55 and even the ship's entertainment is changing. They are doing shows that feature music from the 70's to the 80's such as Abba etc. Windstar would be more a luxury cruise and caters to a slightly older crowd (not old old seniors, but older than young adults) If you can elaborate on your likes and dislikes, what type of activities you enjoy, maybe we can come up with better or different suggestions. |
Thank you all for your help! I am a college student and was trying to plan a trip with some friends. We aren't that picky about the crowd, just loooking for more of a party cruise. The Western Caribean sounds more like our type. Thank you, I will look in more detail of all these.

If you are on the West Coast, you may consider the Mexican Riviera.
For the western Caribbean cruises, be aware of those one day or 2 day cruises to Freeport. Thsoe are not what you want... |
Please feel free to expose your self to us seniors. We have a lot to offer.

Well the so. Caribbean cruises are well worth looking into, esp. as they all tend to embark out of San Juan which by itself is great you party animal. :D Seriously I would check these out as well. Cheers, Larry :-)

We have cruised to the Caribbean eight times, seven with RCCL, once with Holland. We like the RCCL line, as there are a variety of entertainment venues and lots of activities. I would suggest you try the seven day eastern cruise with a stop in St. Thomas and St. Martin. We have also cruised on the southern route, with stops in Aruba and Curacao.
