Paradise shore excursions

Jump to last reply

We are going to the eastern carribean on the Paradise in June. Can anyone tell me about the shore excursions that are offered and any recommendations? We have two boys 11 & 14. We snorkel, scuba, and shop! Inlaws (in their 70's) going too! Thanks!

Hi Kim:We are going on the Western Caribbean itinerary on the Paradise in two weeks. Have been on the Fascination last year to the Eastern Caribbean which offers the same excursions. Firstly you can check out what excursions are available for the cruise by going to the Carnival site, hit Carny, then hit destinations, then hit shore excursions and you'll see all the islands Carnival sails to. Just pick San Juan St.Thomas, St. John's ect and you can get a good idea of what the shore excursion is like and the price. In St. Thomas Magen's Bay is beautiful. We went on the snorkle trip to Trunk Bay in St. John and it was very good. This would leave the morning for touring to Magen's Bay or the Paradise Tram which is walking distance from the harbour. The shops right at the Havensight Mall near the ship have pop ect that you may want to bring on board also there is a one hour photo lab, and pharmacy.San Juan is one of our favorites. You will be getting there pretty late. Walk along the waterfront to the tourist info building and park then toward the water, there is a nice walkway light that goes along the stone wall. There is a nice patio bar ontop of the Wyndham overlooking the harbour, and a casino there. Once we went to a Latin Show it was just ok. You do not need to take a tour of Old San Juan just walk. If you go to the Cruise Opinion site you can look up the paradise and get ideas from fellow travellers that may be helpful. Have a great cruise.Karen ps If you get to the ship early you can leave your luggage and take a taxi to Bayside Mall it beats waiting in line to get on the ship. Then board around 2;30.
