Does anyone know how far it is by car from the port to Leon? Thank you. Larry :-)

It is 65 miles by car.

I was in Nicaragua a few years ago but did not make it to Leon!!

So what did you do Percy? Any recs? I thought that for one day Leon would be OK. Larry :-)

I went from the Costa Rica border to
Rivas( There was a fight here led bt William Walker fromthe USA) he tried to conquer Costa Rica having already overtaken Nicaragua),...

and then I went on to Granada, Masaya and on to Managua..

Masaya has that spewing volcano and also a great market.

Granda was very hot ,(in December) about 104 F.

Had a nice tour of the city in a horse and carriage ride.

It was nice driving all the way along Lake Nicaragua.

I never got to Leon, so tell me all about it when you get back.

Sure my friend. I just got in contact with a private driver to arrange a van so I think this is what we will do. In the meantime I hope your therapy is going well. Usually the beginning days are the worst. Hang in there. I'll give you a hand for your efforts. (Groan. :D :D )
