Optimum time for a Viking Rhine cruise?

Is August an OK time for a river cruise on Viking down the Rhine? I am thinking of the high and/ or low water problems that can require cruisepassengers to have to carry on by bus?

Has anyone experienced being transferred to a bus while on a cruice?

still looking for a way to try to avoid busing on a river cruise. Thanks for any help you can offer.

cruisecritic.com will have reviews and posts on this for your ship I have done rivier cruises but have never had to be bussed. mdtravelhealth.com for climate guides early fall has been stable for me in the distant past less rain usually.

Good luck!

I have bussed around Europe a lot on Globus the buses
are nice it is not the end of the world though it does
defeat the purpose of cruising.
