One day in Nice, what is your must do?

Not a gambler, maybe see the beautiful coast and a great lunch. What is best?

either take a tour up to EZE or go down to the beach at Villefranche and have a terrific lunch overlooking the Med...

Monaco is also beautiful- the OLD city ( where the Palace is located) is a quaint village with souvenier shops and bakeries but you need to check to see IF you can get in to the Palace for a tour when your ship is in...the Palace was not open when we were there...

Definitely the Old Town with its winding streets and alleyways, and also the flower and fruit/vegetable markets with nearby restaurants.

I agree - walk through the old town and have lunch down near the beach. One other thing - not a typically touristy activity. There is a really wonderful modern art museum that is definitely worth seeing. I am not a real art afficionado but I thoroughly enjoyed the museum.

I took a train, a bus and hiked to the border of Italy and had lunch. Walking through Monoco was a site! (For the young at heart)

I definitely would rent a car for the day. Monte Carlo, Cannes, Antibe, Ventimiglia (Italy) are all very close to each other. And the road has some amazing sights. Have breakfast, lunch and dinner in separate towns or even separate countries, counting Monaco!

The Matisse Museum is stunning and is on the bus route. Also swimming in the sea. The pebbly beach is a little tough on the feet, but I know no other place where one can float and see such a lovely sky and grand architecture.
Have a great holiday.
