Oceania dress code for dinner

Does my husband need to bring a sports jacket (or higher) for dinner on Oceania cruise to Alaska. I generally wear evening slacks and top or nice dress (not fancy) for dinners on cruises and he wears nice collared sport shirts. Is that sufficient for Oceania

I've spent an aggregate of several months on Oceania, and always travel with a blazer. I generally wear it at dinner, and most men seem to do the same. It is by no means required, but in the specialty restaurants, there are two on Regatta, it is very rare to see a man without a sport coat. Except for crew, I never saw anyone wearing a tie until last summer, when there was a man who invariably wore a suit for the entire cruise from Dover to Greenland and return.

Oceania does not require formal nights. Nice slacks and shirt will be fine. We cruised on Oceania Riviera last spring and saw few sports coats. However, my dh always travels with one. There was afternoon tea and a captain's cocktail party and most people dressed smart casual.

Dh has never taken (of felt the need to wear) a sports jacket on an Oceania cruise.
