Oceania Baltic Cruise

We were set to book a baltic cruise with Oceania next September because we liked the itinerary. However, all the reviews are quite poor. Did anyone go this September who can say anything positive?
Thank you.

Were the negative reviews for a particular ship, the itinerary, Oceania in general?
We went on a Baltic cruise before we discovered Oceania, which became our favorite line--for the great service, small ship size, lack of formal nights, port intensive itineraries, excellent food, no-fee specialty dining, local Tourist Office reps who get on board at every port.

Go to cruisecritic.com for reviews of ships and itineraries by people who were passengers.

Oceania's approval ratings for Baltic Cruises, including ours, hover around 90%. But, one evening last June, we were paired with a couple at dinner whose constant complaining caused us to excuse ourselves and ask the Maitre D for another table. Cruise Critic and TA are your best place for actual passenger reviews.

Cruised the Baltic on Princess Regal this past July. Loved the ports, the ship was practically brand new. Didn't think I was a "cruise" person but can't think of anything negative about the experience. We were upgraded without cost to a mini-suite which was fabulous, for the extra space, both in the room and the balcony. Ports = Oslo; Aarhus (Denmark); Germany (shore excursion to Berlin-fabulous); Tallinn, Estonia (hidden gem); St. Petersburg; Helsinki; Stockholm.
