Norwegian Getaway Balconies

I'm looking to book a balcony on the Getaway in August. They have only Guaranteed Balconies left. They mention that it could be totally of partially obstructed. I know that ocean view cabins can be obstructed but can this also happen to balconies?

Yes. I am not sure about the Getaway though we were on her last May and had a balcony and it was fine though small but an obs. balcony on other ships usually means the tender boats are below you so of you look down then that is the obstruction. However your view looking straight ahead is fine. I would call NCL to ask what its meant but thats usually what it refers to.

Thank you for your reply.

I just booked this afternoon for... August 1st. It was hectic to make sure that there was a balcony left and most importantly was to get a flight to Miami. Your explanation makes sense, you don't have the tender boat right in your face. I usually planned at least three months ahead but my son lost his job yesterday so I wanted him to have at least a week vacation before starting to look for another one.

Sorry to hear about your son. I've been there and it is rough so best of luck getting a new job and it's so nice of you to treat him like this.

The best way to figure out the view is to google the ship and your cabin number. That should tell you.

Enjoy the cruise.

Larry .
