Nordic Empress
 

We are taking the 5 night cruise on the Nordic Empress in March out of San Juan. I have heard some negative things. We have been on Princess and NCL in the past. Any comments?

We just came back from the 4 night cruise on the Nordic Empress. We were 1st time cruisers but I was disappointed in the entertainment and the food. Everyone said the rooms were larger than usual. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. The pool was small. Life revolved around the casino at night.

<BR>Hi Paula,<BR><BR>If you enjoyed Princess you should enjoy RCCL. The entertainment and the food are about the same. The food on RCCL is rated average not like long ago when it was the best.<BR><BR>A few years ago NCL was one of the best mass-market lines but it is suffering. <BR><BR>You should have a very nice average cruise. Do not expect large staterooms as with all lower categories on RCCL.<BR><BR>Paul

We cruised on the Nordic, and we really liked it. The ports were great and the food was good, I have been on 6 cruises and I liked this ship the best. Not a party ship, it was more laid back. But I wasn't interested in big line ups and noise all the time. I fould plenty to do and there were many activities. Hope you have a wonderful time on your cruise.

Thanks for the replies. We have booked one of the Superior rooms with a balcony so hopefully it will be fairly large. Not too worried about food as we tend to eat on the islands alot to try the local cusine.
