Newest Aida cruise ship AidaPrima

AidaPrima is the newest cruise ship from the fleet of Aida Cruises (Aida Kreutzfahrten) - a German line, that is one of the Carnival Corporation cruise brands. One of the very strange facts is that this is the first new ship designed for the German market, but made in Japan instead of Germany. The ship starts operations in October 2015 (Inaugural cruise from Yokohama, Japan). Its itinerary program is for regular cruises from Hamburg and Rotterdam (roundtrip itineraries to UK, France and Belgium)

During the Inaugural season (winter 2015) the ship will cruise from UAE on roundtrips from Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Aida Prima is the line's largest and most advanced ship (to become the fleet's flagship), with the most lounges, restaurants and bars. This is also the Aida's first cruise ship with waterpark and slides, climbing walls, even skywalk glass floors above the ocean (like on the new Princess ships). Traditionally for the line, on the top deck there is an exclusive area for nudists. This link is to a ship review with huge information in English

It makes review of the decks plans, also shows cabins layouts - what the rooms look like, size, types, furniture, amenities, balcony, etc. At the top page there is a high resolution photo that shows in great details some of the outside places on the ship. All the glass roof covered places look really nice. Unique feature of all new Aida ships is a 3 story high lounge that is called Theatrium - the ship's huge Atrium area also serves as theater for shows in the evenings. Most of the restaurants and bars on the new ship have outside dining areas, which is one of the features I like best.

Wow. What a step up for them. That's a beautiful looking ship.

Thanks for the info.
