Go to St. John if you are really into snorkeling.
In St.Martin take a van to Orient beach $5 per person each way. If you would like to try nude swimming turn right to Club Orient, rent chairs and umbrella for $15 and enjoy. Don't forget the sun srreen!

I can only comment on St. Thomas excursions. Take boat/ferry to St. John's and you will have an experience that you will never forget. You will be going to an island where mostly you will see sailors that are there for the love of the water and their boats. You will go to a beach where they have laid out a snorkelling path with descriptions of the fish that you will sea. You will have a wonderful Caribbean experience. Make sure you leave enough time to get back to the boat taking you back to St.Thomas. Are you planning to take your own snorkelling equipment with you on the cruise. I would recommend it.
