NCL Texaribbean

Would like to hear comments from anybody who has taken this NCL Texaribbean on Norwegian Sea) cruise in recent months, or those planning on taking it. We are booked on this cruise for our honeymoon over Christmas 2000.

I understand this is the last cruise for this ship on this itinerary.

Thanks!

My sister & I were on the Texaribbean cruise over Labor Day weekend. I had a great time. I went to relax and see new places and mission was accomplished. The shows were fun. Xcaret is a wonderful place - I would recommend this shore excursion from Cancun!
It's a smaller ship than the Norway but it didn't feel "small". There were so many newlyweds too. The cabin space was adequate. The food service was excellent. I wouldn't order the beef dishes though. The desserts were yummy!
Have a good time!

Old topic, just looking for any other possible comments or suggestions for shore excursions. Trip is coming up soon!

This is an old post, but I am interested in booking this cruise (Bay Islands, Belize City) for our family. Would children (14 & 8) like this cruise? If so, which shore excursions would be best for us? We have never been to Mexico or the Caribbean, although all of us are veteran European travelers.

If you cruised before, chances are you will not like it. It is a small and old ship. Better go with with Rhapsody, Elation or Ecstasy if you must depart from Texas. Even better ships are sailing from Florida.

Thank you, Spur. No, we have never cruised before. I specifically want to visit the Bay Islands, Belize, Cozumel and Cancun. Do these other ships visit these places? Are there any other cruise lines that have these ports of call? We are very independent travelers, but I want a "preview" of these places before we commit to a full week at any one of them. Plus, we want to spend a lot of time snorkeling and doing some beginning scuba diving.

Personally I would take the NCL Sun (cruising out of New Orleans). It is a newer ship and covers the itinerary you want.

Thank you, Semiramis. I will check out the NCL Sun. I also briefly ran a search for other cruise lines offering this itinerary and found similar cruises with Carnival, Crystal Cruise and Princess lines.
