NCL Experiences

Has anyone sailed aboard any of the Norwegian Cruise Line ships in the past few months and what has been your experience, either good or bad?

Thanks,

Ken

My wife and I were on NCL's Wind from Honolulu and around the islands and down to Ensenada. Enjoyable ship, good food, and top notch entertainment. It annoys me to see so much NCL slamming by some people. Go and enjoy.

Thanks Douglas..I guess I'm not alone... We did the NCL Sky for TWO weeks inApril, the Majesty in September.. and for the ninth time will be doing the Majesty the end of September. Free style dining has it's advantages and I note that other ships for better or worse are begnning to copy NCL. Not having a regular waiter, especially in the p.m. is frustrating..but we found our old waiter.. or a waiter that we found that fit us.. and specifically asked for him in the dining room.. From what a sales rep of NCL told me..they are going to be coming up with something onthe NCL Sun that is going to make people angry..but I guarantee that within a year other ships will follow suit..

Okay, Parrot Mom, What is the BIG secret that only you knows??

The NCL Sun...will have a la carte restaurants...I gather it will be more than a recommended tip...its in their brochure..and I asked a salesperson at a travel show recently..That should go over like a lead bomb..but you never know...the other cruise lines are copying the pre-paying of tips (Carnival), and free style cruising.. This should be an interesting year..
