MEXICAN RIVIERA
HI EVERYONE! MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE JUST BOOKED THE 7 DAY MEXICAN RIVIERA CRUISE ON THE SAPPHIRE PRINCESS LEAVING APRIL 1ST. HAS ANYONE DONE THIS CRUISE AND WOULD LIKE TO TELL ME THEIR EXPERIENCES AROUND THAT TIME OF YEAR. WAS THE WEATHER NICE? ALSO WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE WHALES AND SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS.
|
The weather should be great, rainy season begins in June and ends in September. We did the Sapphire on a 10 day sail out of San Francisco last year to the Mex. Riv. You are in for a TREAT! Great ship and service.
We just came back from our second Mex. Riv. cruise on the NCL Star. It covered a couple of new ports and a couple of repeats. The weather was beautiful and the seas were the smoothest of all of our 14 cruises. Don't miss the boat ride out to Los Arcos in Cabo. Great views up close. |
Thank You Frank. Did you see any whales and dolphins? What month did you go? We were thinking of the 10 day cruise but want drive around CA before we go back to NY. Are there any other shore excusions that you would recommend?
|
We saw lots of Dolphins on the way down to Mexico last year, just saw a few last week. Unfortunately no whales. We went in October last year and got back 2 days ago from our second trip.
We did the overall city tours in each of the ports and enjoyed them all. This year the 10 day is on an older ship, stick with the Sapphire, we thought it was a wonderful ship. We selected the personal choice dining and had a great time. We're from NY also. Enjoy your cruise. |
You might spot whales from the ship. The official whalewatch season is Mexico closes end of March, so no tours will be offered anymore.
