Hi jacketwatch
I have enjoyed many of your posting and answers to other people's questions. The six of us will do this crusie , but I know I will return to any place that I feel I just want to see more of. Like Rome.... no matter how well your private guide plans out your itinerary...you cannot see it all in one full day. I tried to go on a smaller ship rather than the Grand Princess, but I did not want to give up the Ports of Call that I wanted. Thanks and keep up the good work. Percy |
Thanks Percy and back at ya. You are always a gentleman. Funny but just yesterday I was speaking to someone about Rome. As we had but one day there I mentioned also about wanting to spend at least a week there. The other fellow said "make it a month" :D Cheers. Larry

Hi jacketwatch:
Yes, I am sure a month in Rome would be terrific. I have two friends who went for a week as that is all the time they had...and they said they just walked and walked and walked...as there is so much to see and walk is best.. But first I will get the flavor of Rome and then return ,even for a week. Your are very informative on your reports. Take Care and Good Night ( yawn!) Percy |
Just got back from the Holland America-Noordam.New ship launched in Feb. 2006. We did the Eastern Med with stops in: Santorini, Turkey, Messina, Olympia, Corfu, Malta, Croacia. Great trip and ship. Food was good, service excellent, ship is imaculate. Would sail again. We left out of Rome

Parrotmom or whomever, Could you pass on the private excursion info. We are going to need one for Barcelona (staying later for 4 days), Italy (Rome, Naples and Pisa), Greece (Mykonos, Santorini and Pireus). Already arranged a good one for Turkey.
