Mediteranean Cruise in October?
We are contemplating a Celebrity cruise leaving Barcelona in October. The itinerary is perfect for us, but the weather of course is a factor. Is this a suitable time to be cruising that area? Any comments from experienced cruisers would be appreciated.

We've taken two Med cruises in October, and the weather varied, but wasn't a problem. There were days when we wore shorts, short sleeved shirts, and sandals, and days when we wore a light fleece, rain jacket, long pants, shoes and socks.

Late September to mid October is our favorite time to cruise the Med.

Went in October twice.

What are your ports of call.?

Some morning start out a little crisp but then by 10 AM you are warmer !!

Bring a sweater and/or jacket .

Thankyou for your responses. They have been most helpful. The ports of call include Villafranche, Rome Istanbul, Mykonos, disembarking in Venice.

October is a wonderful time to be in the Mediterranean. Crowds are less, weather is cool and comfortable. Cruise fares are usually lower than mid-summer. Feel free to contact me about your choice.
