martinique- ste. luce

frommer's sing the praise of the "quaint secluded tiny" town of ste. luce. a few questions for anyone familiar with it. first- my wife's first (only?) concern- is the "small" beach sandy and attractive. is the town as "picturesque" as frommer's says, is it safe there and getting there, will we be able to get back to pointe du bout and the ferry without too much hassle (cabs readily available?) and what restaurants can you recommend? thanks, steve.

I don't get these 3 posts. Are you talking to yourself? or what?

I don't think he was talking to himself.
Sometimes Fodors will delete a "not so nice" response to a post. Happened to me in another one where I answered someones question but the answer before me was downright rude..when I went back to check on whether they responded to my answer, I found that the previous rude post had been deleted...it does cause a bit of confusion, though.
I am going to Martinique in April so was interested in this post.
