Last minute cruises from Miami in March
 

We will be leaving the Keys in March and I was thinking since we have time, would it be possible to drive to Miami and check on last minute cruises for a really good price? Do people do this? Where would I go? Thanks!

PS Or could go the other way to Tampa.

I wouldn't just drive to Miami hoping to get on a ship. Ships must submit their manifest to government officials a few days before the ship sails and this prevents booking a cruise the day it sails.

If you want to take a cruise, I would talk to a TA about last minute bargains. There are often great prices for booking 15-30 days out.

I agree with Theresa and would not just show up at the pier. Check websites like vacationstogo.com (click on "90 day ticker") for last minute bargains.

Since 911, you can't just show up and try to get on a ship.

There are many great deals available for bookings for cruises under 60 - 30 days.
