Ketchitan sightseeing

We are doing a Celebrity cruise in late June. I am trying to decide whether we should do a floatplane to Misty Fiords or a flight and float back in a rubber raft. Perhaps these are the same thing and I dont know what a floatplane is? Suggestions for Ketchitan? Other options there , is there a "must do"? We are doing a glacier landing in Juneau and whale watching.

A floatplane is a small plane that lands on water. Lots of fun. Personally, I would do the plane and raft option. Happy cruising.

I have to disagree- the flight and float option takes up too much time if you are a first time visitor. The round trip floatplane is the way to go, my opinion only. Consider booking direct- better tours- Southeast Aviation, Carlin Air, Island Wings.

Thanks for the input, a think the floatplane is the way to go.

Is there another must do here? What about salmon fishing here? Can you do both in one day?

How much time do you have in port?? Most stops are 1/2 day and no you can't do fishing and Misty fjords flightseeing within that time. But there is pole rental behind the lumberjack show if you want to just fish from the marina?
