Jewel of the seas - three days away

We are embarking on RCCL Jewel this coming Sunday, from SJ Puerto Rico. We fly in on sat from BWI and spend the night before boarding. We are one 8 year old, one 50 year old, two 70+ year olds and one 85 year old in a wheel chair most of the time. I hope in spite of the limitations that it will be fun for everyone, young and old.

I like the trip reports where posters write a bit each day, so since I rarely get around to doing a whole report, I'm giving it a try.
Staring off with babysitting and also having a house guest the week before the cruise is a bit stressful. I had hoped for a leisurely few days, packing and petting my cat before the cruise, but making the best of it and love then all.
DH also developed a bronchial infection and has been to the Doctor twice. Great start!

I do hope you will do a trip report as we are going on JotS's in a few weeks. I think it is the other cruise destinations one we are on, but info about the ship, both good and not so good would be welcome. We are going with our great friends from the east coast, so will be meeting up in SJ. I hope you all enjoy yourselves.

Joto,
We boarded Jewel on Sunday. Embarkation was extremely fast, efficient and friendly. The ship is beautiful. There are a few little places in the staterooms that show some wear, but it looks mostly like a new ship, shining and clean. The service is absolutely superb, especially in the dining room! It is amazing really, how great the service is and how efficient it is, especially considering that the ship is fully booked. I will try to do a report ASAP, but if you think of specific questions, just ask.

I hope you enjoyed your cruise and will come back and tell us how it all went, food, drinks, entertainment and shore excursions, etc.

Sassafrass, was this moved from say the lounge or another forum?

I don't think so. I originally planned to do a running report of the cruise, but found I was too busy to do it. I started a trip report and haven't posted it yet. If I haven't lost the info, I will go ahead and post it.
