inside cabin guarantee?

What means? Thanks.

Jose- normally, when you book a cruise, you select a particular cabin in advance. With an inside cabin guarantee, you are guaranteed an inside cabin, but the cruise line will choose which one (depending on capacity) and you probably won't find out which one until you go on board.

People get a cabin "guarantee" because is it less expensive than booking a better cabin. They hope the ship isn't full and they will be upgraded to a better cabin than the one at the "guarantee" level.
You will have a 95% chance of an upgrade. You should go up at least 2 categories.

Paul

We are on NCL Seas on Nov 26. Booked 2 rooms. Have my wife and I and our two daughters.

Here's the question...

My rooms were inside guaranteed, not assigned yet. They said they cross referenced them. What are our chances of getting them next to each other?

Will we not know until we arrive?

Thanks...

Tom- you will not know until either a couple of days prior to sailing or the day of sailing IF you are close together= The cruise line TRIES to keep you together, but a guarentee is just that--a cabin for a guaranteed price with a location to be assigned by the cruise line at their will--if you go with inside, you will probably still get an inside cabin but maybe higher up--
On that rare instance of a deserted ship, sometimes insides get upgraded to outside cabins, but please don't hold your breath on this....

The guarantee rate is just to do as Paul says-guarantee you a cabin period..If you want to definitely be together and on a certain deck and don't want to chance being split up, then do NOT do a guarantee cabin.

Hope this helps

Another tidbit ...... My experience with triple and quad cabin guarantees are: Once you are upgraded (a few days before sailing) you may, just may, receive an upgrade to a twin cabin. This results in putting a rollaway in your cabin. A rollaway makes it very difficult to move about the cabin.

My advice is not to request a "guarantee" if there is more than 2 passengers in cabin.

There were so many complaints Celebrity does not allow "guarantees" for triples and quads.

Other than that, always ask your travel agent if there is any guarantees available.

Also, always book the lowest possible category inside or out. That way you will take advantage of the best price.

Quite a few passengers do not wish to be at the lowest passenger deck but the elevators will take you up very quickly. Also a lower outside stateroom will give you a better view of the water rather than the sky. Also better in port if your cabin is portside. You will see people and buildings rather than just the sky.

Paul

Hi, Jose. Basically, you will have a stateroom with no window, be guaranteed that. However, booking on a guarantee and not assignment, you can get upgraded, hopefully. Have fun!

we had a inside cabin, we paid a year
in advance we didnt expect to get upgraded but it would have been nice.
there was so much to do,that we were only in our cabin to sleep.at first I thought I would die being confined in
a room without a window.as it turned
out it was great.
