How to pick a sailing date?
If I'm looking for the best chance of seeing the most color change in foilage on a New England Cruise what is the best way of picking a sailing date?
|
I think, first half of October. Try to do a search on the US forum.

I've looked at fall foilage maps and they all seem to focus on inland areas. I was hoping that someone who has taken one of these cruises could give me more information on what to except along the coast areas.
Are the New England/Canada cruises really Fall Foilage Cruises or closer to cruising in the Fall Season where you'll see a little bit of changes along the coast? |
Folage is NOT coastal. So if a priority, I suggest you strongly consider a car rental in ports and drive. Going first week of October, should give you peak at some point. There is no crystal ball for dates, only ball park.
With New England cruises, Canada is earlier than Maine, then Ma. south etc. I live in a big folage area, in New York and have weeks of viewing with short drives in the right direction. |
Thank You BudgetQueen; good info.
