How to get from London to Southampton docks?
 

We are planning a last minute cruise from Southampton, England. We'll arrive in London a few days in advance, so we don't want to use the Princess transfer service.

What's the best way to get from London to the Southampton docks?

Go to www.nationalexpress.com London Victoria is the main coach station. As you are going to be in London you can phone them.to see if there is a stop near your hotel. The buses are very clean & comfortable. About 10 pounds return. They also have senior fares if that aplies,

I'd take the train myself -- Trains leave from Waterloo station and take about 1 hr 15 mins.

I highly recommend the National Express bus, cheap and direct, with good predictable service. You do need a cab from the bus station, but usually isn't hard to get a share ride with another cruiser. :)
