Hi, Toto, <BR>We haven't done a cruise of that duration but we did a transpacific freighter cruise a year ago or so and had a taste of long periods between calls, and the pace of that sort of cruise. The officers on our ship were familiar with round-the-world routings for passengers (on freighters, that is) and said it is a big undertaking but seemed immensely rewarding for those who did it. <BR> <BR>Of course the freighter experience is not at all like a cruise line (we loved the informality and the ability to learn about the ship and the shipping business) but it may not be everyone's cup. It is definitely a less expensive way of seeing interesting places and meeting interesting people, and extremely comfortable to boot. <BR>You might want to investigate some of the RTW offerings at http://www.freighterworld.com/index.html or http://www.freighter-cruises.com/index.html. RTW routings on freighters typically run around $90-$100 pppd, around half what a regular cruise line will charge. No casino or floor shows, though. Speaking for ourselves, we're addicted, and are planning another cruise this winter, maybe down the East Africa coast or up the W. coast of S. America.
