Hotel in Rome
 

We're flying to Rome on 9/12 to sightsee before boarding the Royal Princess on 9/15. Princess has booked us in to the Empire Palace Hotel for two nights prior to boarding. The rates seem a little higher than I've seen. Does anyone know anything about the hotel. Thanks!!

Thanks Sandy. I had found the website through a posting in "Europe". It is a five star hotel. Guess that explains the cost. (I hope!)

You will love Rome - it is definitely a "walking town." The food is fabolous! I thought that food/souveniors/transportation was pretty reasonable there.

Hi, I sailed on Royal Princess did 34 days with her. Rome to Chile. Ship is fine,not a lot of glitz,but nice. We stayed at Crowne Plaza in Rome. Located at the Pantheon,was great. Cost us only half of what Princess was charging. Rate 279.00 per nite,not per guest. We purchased princess transfer to ship, we had to meet them at the hotel staging area. this was arranged by the hotel we stayed at. The hotel arranged the pick up when we arrived and it all worked out great. And I had alot more money to spend on trip. Good luck
