Hotel in Rome

Any idea for a hotel in Rome pre-cruise that isn't out of sight and probably includes continental breakfast.. Percy.. you might have the answer..

Hi ParrotMom...

I wish I had the answer but I did not over night in Rome.... I was in Venice for 3 nights before my cruise.

But someone will help you out I am sure of that :)

If you are staying more than 1 day I would recommend
www.miltonroma.com. Was just there for 3 nites. HUGE
huge breakfast offerings. Walk to Coliseum, Palantine Hill
& Rome Forum. Directly across street is cafe and Metro
Line A, tobacco store next door for tix & restaurants
nearby.
Originally I thought it would be out of the way but was
pleasantly surprised @ fast metro to everywhere.

Highly recommend the Nicolas Inn. It is a small B&B located near the Coliseum. We walked to all the attractions from there. The owners, Melissa and Francois, are a wonderful, helpful couple and Melissa is originally from the states. Take a look at their website www.nicolasinn.com and plan on booking well in advance if you think you would like to stay there.

As long as everybody is being so helpful.. how close to the Trevi Fountain where I fell in love with Rome this trip?

Percy... our favorite hotel in Barcelona has been improved, she's taken over the first floor, tnere is now a 24 hour buffet, huge breakfast room, sitting room, outside terrace and two additional rooms, one of which we stayed in which is a "must"..lol

For our cruises out of Rome we have used the Aberdeen and the Sonya. Actually prefer the Sonya for slight better breakfasts and is closer to Termini. Both hotel are excellent with great breakfasts. We prefer this area for convenience to Termini, short walk.

Inteesting in that a pre-cruise we did cancel two years ago we had booked Sonya.. still have the cancellation e-mail.. thanks..think I'll revisit site.
