Has anybody recently stayed at a nice hotel in down town Copenhagen that is close to ( walking distance) to many of the favorite tourist sights.

Any help in locating a nice hotel downtown would be greatly appreciated.

I've stay at the Copenhagen Strand which I can highly recommend. It's a great little three star hotel that's walking distance to almost everything.

We stayed in the Palace which overlooked the main square and bell
tower of their Town Hall.Not too noisy! Rather quaint!
It had seen better days, but was a regal old place. Very convenient for sightseeing.
Got a good deal on laterooms.

Many times we have stayed at the SAS Radisson ; it has it all - -European smaller, but clean rooms {corner rooms are a plus!),welcoming staff, a nice dining room and bar; easy walk to the Stroget and train station.

DD and I have stayed at the Palace also - location to Stroget a plus; loved the doorman and the unique HUGE room key!(leave it at the front desk while you are out and about!)

I called the Radisson and they are all booked up for the days I want.!

The other choices mentioned look good ,I only need to be there for a few days before I board the Princess Cruise ship to doa Baltic Cruise.

I am sailing August 20th out of Copenhagen.

However,I will arrive in Copenhagen on August 17th about 5 PM.

Yes I have my hotel all booked...there will be four of us.


I have a private tour guide booked for the next day and we are driving out to Elsinor and coming back via Hillerod to see the great Castles in both places.

Then when we arrive back in Copenhagen we will do the City Tour and of course the Little Mermaid.

Are you booked on the same cruise.
