Help us choose a cruise!!
We are still trying to pick a cruise for late next year. Options: NCL's Texaribbean, Premier from Aruba (with additional seven nights at Aruba Hotel), or RCCL's Circle the Caribbean. We have cruised three times on Carnival and twice on Royal Caribbean, with a short Bahamas cruise on RCCL scheduled for March 1999. We love them all!!! All input appreciated.

Hi,
If you've been on carnival and Rccl,Premier may be a big step down for you.The oceanbreeze(then owned by Dolphin and now Premier)is at least 40 years old, small ,although well looked after. My husband and I took are first cruise on that ship.(We also got married on it)Anyway, the food was fabolous as good as any ship. but I was a little bored as I found there really was not much to do other than eat eat eat.We booked a cruise last year for this xmas on celebrity"s Horizon unbelievable rates for booking early we got 50%off.We were so happy with the price we booked last week for next xmas 50% off again. If you don"t mind a budget cruise to aruba(you can splurge there)go for it .If you want something comparable to what you"ve been on ,forget it.

Rachel,
Since you have been on RCCL and Carnival I wouldn't recommend going on Premier Cruises. They are geared toward first time cruisers. RCCL and Carnival are mosr luxurious products and Premier would feel budget compared. I would recommend NCL's Texaribbean since you haven't visited any of those ports of call before or go for RCCL's Spendour, great itinerary and lots of days to relax! Have a great time!

I am a travel agent that has been on 43 cruises. I have sampled just about every itinerary and can give you advice if you wish. First, you should pick an itinerary. If you are looking for the most reasonable prices during the latter part of the year, the two weeks before Christmas and the two weeks after the New Year are the most reasonable. If you are looking for a different experience for a cruise try Costa Victoria or preferably Costa Romantica. I receive nothing but praise from my customers and the prices are the most reasonable. Since you enjoyed Carnival, why don't you try the ships going down the West Coast to Mexico. Your best bet would be to pick up some brochures and study them. If you have additional questions I would be glad to help. You can write me, Paul, Affordable Cruises ([email protected]).
