We are signed up to go on this cruise on Nov 9. I am concerned about the length of the cruise. I will be watching to see how others feel about such a long cruise. I just got back last week from a Holland America cruise to Alaska and it was great but at the end of 7 days I was ready to get off the ship!!!!

We are planning the same cruise and feel the same anxiety about the length. It does sound like a great cruise tho.

Thanks,
Peggy

Many of your fellow passengers will be elderly and unable to feed themselves. Just pay attention to who you sit next to. They may ask you to cut their meat for them.

we were on the Noordam in Jan. on the 14 day from Tampa. I never saw so many walkers, crutches and oxygen tanks on a cruise. But we had a good time, doing our own thing. We were not too compatible with our dining companions, age, interests, etc. but met nice people in other areas and the staff was great. We're now planning a 7 day Alaska and a 21 day repositioning back to Ft. Lauderdale on HA that will be 28 days and we will have a good time. Don't worry about the length of the cruise, if you like cruising, alot! Some days are good, some are great, like life. DO IT!

Oh honestly~!! We were on a 28 day cruise, from Miami to Rio D, in October, and had a wonderful time (on the HA Rhyndam.) We really got into the swing of things, the games, activities, casino (occasionally as it was not paying much), lots of great excursions, time for reflection, quiet sea days, swiming in the pool, hot tub, etc. Made some wonderful friends. I think it would be the trip of a lifetime, depending on how you look at it. Having a bad time is pretty much a "self fulfilling" prophecy. Have fun, we only live once."

i did a 21 day cruise and never once was bored. if you like cruising you'll do fine. if you don't, don't go.

The only negative about this cruise is that the Noordam is an older ship with a lot less to offer than many of the newer ones. I did a 14 day on the Noordam 3 years ago and was very glad when the two weeks were up. The crew was great but the facilities such as the theater/show lounge are sub-par.

Ditto that about the age of the ship.
