HELP Princess changes our itinerary

We are on an Alaska land-cruise tour July 17. Princess just notified us they overbooked their Denali Lodge and as a result they have totally changed our itinerary-we are only staying one day (not two)in Denali, then on to the McKinley Lodge for one night. As a result-we have half days avaiable for trips instead of whole days greatly reducing our options. They also removed a Prince William Sound Day Boat tour that was part of the package and reduced the length of the Alaskan railroad trip. For all this they have graciously told us we will have a $300 on board credit. BIG DEAL! My travel agent hasnt been able to do anything. Does anyone have any advice????

Grab the $300 before Princess change their mind as they have right to change itinerary without any reimbursement, and enjoy your cruise.

Do you now have the Tundra Wilderness tour??? Or did you??? The most important part of your trip, frankly.

This happened to another poster, and they refused to be moved and told their agent so. They were put back into their orginal tour. I would not agree to this, in my opinion. You are shortchanging yourself if it is important to you. If not, the money is insignificant and hold out for a REFUND. How much did you pay for this tour??? I would expect at least half back. How did they "reduce" your Alaska RR trip???

I thought it was in ALL contracts that a ship could change itineries for any reason and passegers should be aware of this. They do not usually get anything when this happens.
New Jersey is suing RCCL because they went to Canada instead of Bermuda. I read about this on cruisejunkie.com/events.html.
Emailed cruisecritic.com about this and editor is at this moment looking in to it. Shortly they will have info on this on their 'News' page. (I JUST checked and it wasn't there yet.)Maybe I'll post something about it when I get more info.

This has nothing to do with their "ship". It is due to overbooking the land touring portion, no delayed port times to blame it on. :)

As I have already mentioned, a recent poster also had this happen to them and they essentially said- MOVE someone else and did get back their orginally booked cruisetour add on.

This is typical of Princess these days. It has really gone downhill. I don't know why anyone books this line anymore when there are better alternatives at a similar price.

I agree completely about the add on land tours, definately far better options for booking this portion.
