HELP! Is dog sled excursion worth $369?

There are 5 of us traveling on Princess to Alaska in August. In Juneau there is a helicopter/glacier walk/dog sled excursion for $369pp. Anyone out there know if it is worth it?

That's a lot of money! We did a different Princess excursion, a visit to Jeff (?) somebody's dog sled kennels/ranch, and the kids and adults loved it.

$369 PP is to rich for my blood but people on my cruise last year raved about that excursion. They said it was one of the highlights of their trip.If you can afford it,go for it.

I simply cannot justify spending that kind of cash on any excursion.

We often go dogsledding in Canada (just outside of Banff)and pay about $100 for a half day. It's great fun, but I don't know if I'd bundle it in with the other activities.

By the way, when we go in Canada, it is extremely athletic -- we are running with the dogs most of the time, once in temps of 35 below. Some tourists go with the expectation of a sleigh ride, and are disappointed.

My husband and I did this excursion last year and thought it was worth every penny. It was our favorite. We decided to "go for broke" since it was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity.
