Help! Golden Dolphin Deck Balcony
We just booked Dolphin minisuites on the Golden and I'm hearing how people can just see down to our balcony. How bad is it really?? Do you have to stand up and lean over to see us or can you just see us sitting in a chair on your own balcony?? I'd really like to keep our room but I don't want to be disappointed. Thank you.

jody,
tried to post this twice today....
march '02 we stayed in a dolphin minisuite on golden princess....while folks above can look down on balcony, dolphin balconies have a direct view of the ocean....we would book this category again.
march '01, on grand princess, we stayed in a ba/caribe deck cabin...the balcony is larger but one must look out and then down to see the ocean. we loved the minisuite!

Elaine: thank you, I feel a little better about it. I just can't picture however what you mean about having to look out and then down to see the ocean. Aren't all balconies with a straight out view of the ocean?? Thanks.

jody,
my description of balcony/ocean is confusing...sorry! if you have a golden princess brochure, take a look at cabin diagrams, i.e., dolphin deck, particularly the balconies. dolphin deck balconies are 'straight out' with a wonderful ocean view.
caribe deck balconies (the deck above dolphin deck) has larger balconies; however, on that deck, the balcony ends, where dolphin deck balcony begins.
realize it's hard to visualize....the balconies on golden princess are like a pyramid. minisuites on dolphin deck (in my opinion) are terrific - very, very spacious interior cabin and a balcony with a terrific view! i don't think you'll be disappointed!

Elaine: okay, I think I get it. I think it sounds like I should keep the room. We had a suite on the Grand last month and it was so private, I just didn't want to be disapointed. Thank you for explaining it to me!!
