We have questions about our first time cruise on the Celebrity Millennium Baltic in late July-August. Do the suggested tips apply per room or per passenger? Are irons available? Is there a laundromat on board for use by passengers or do you use the bathroom sink? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have cruised on Royal Caribbean who <BR>owns Celebrity, so assuming that things <BR>are the same tips are per person and <BR>they will tell you that in your cruise <BR>compass(?) on the ship on the last <BR>night. Irons were not available on <BR>either of our ships but there was valet <BR>service for a fee. I would look at <BR>Celebrities web site and see what info. <BR>I could get or ask your travel agent. <BR>You'll have a great time!

Relax....cruising is casual....even if you enjoy doing the whole dressing up thing - take half as much stuff as you think you need and if you need clean underwear or something, wash it out in the sink at night. There are no passenger laundry mats or irons in your cabin (FIRE HAZZARD!!!). Pack as carefully as you can, do double duty-clothes-wise where you can and if you have a few wrinkles, believe me, NO ONE WILL NOTICE. If you're really into perfectly pressed stuff, the ship can take care of it for you for a charge. You'll get infro from the ship before you sail regarding how many formal nights, etc. and that will help you plan. Mix and match is a good idea. If you really want to go formal , you can rent tux, etc. on celebrity - but I saw very few on the trip I took on Mercury in February. If you have specific questions, feel free to email me.

DuWayne, I took the Celebrity Century on the Western Mediterranean last fall and had a wonderful time. Tips are per person per day, so they do add up. But the service is exceptional, and that is how the staff makes their income! <BR>There are no self-service laundry's on board (unlike other ships). I had my laundry done twice during our 10 night cruise. We only took carry-on luggage and we spent a few days pre- and post-cruise in Italy, so we had to. Be forewarned, it's expensive. (cost us about $120) <BR>But, hey, it's vacation! Have a great cruise. Please post your cruise experience after you return. I want to take that exact cruise and would love to hear about it. <BR>

DuWayne: we always have the same problem with wrinkles. Terry is right no one will notice. My wife finally went to Wal-mart and bought a travel iron for about 10 bucks. its small, light, but does a good job. fits in suitcase. just press items on a towel on the dresser. works great and saves a bunch $$$ too.
