Has anyone been on Clipper Odyssey?

I'm thinking of going to South Pacific with Clipper Odyssey. The staterooms sound small - 185 sq.ft., and I'm concerned for a two-week cruise it might be uncomfortable. No, I don't want to get a suite, it's expensive enough already. How was your experience with them?

We did a Baltic cruise on the Clipper Adventurer two years ago. Just completed a Med cruise on Holland America three weeks ago. We prefer Clipper. Even tho rooms are small (and we had a suite on HAL!)the ambiance (SP?) on Clipper was more to our liking. No dressing, max 125 passengers, excursions included (and wonderful)... Clipper is more for travelers/ HAL for cruisers. (Tho we certainly do sing the praises of HAL for what they do.)Odyssey is a newer ship for Clipper and from what I can tell from brochures, superior to Adventurer in physical terms.

Just returned from Pristine Corners of the S.P. with Clipper Odyssey. I thought the staterooms were large with a queen size bed, nightstands, desk and chair, small sofa and coffee table. You will be so busy you probably won't spend much time in the room. Also, two closets and attached built in drawers. The bath was a very comfortable size also. The food was excellent and also the crew. Our rooms were supplied with fresh towels twice a day and cleaned. The expedition staff was excellent and also the guest lecturers. I could go on and on but I think you can tell my experience with them was marvellous. It has actually ruined me for other ships as I prefer this type of small ship and expedition type cruising. You do have to enjoy that type of trip. I like to snorkel also so this was perfect for me.

We are booked for the Seascapes of the South Pacific next month. This will be our cruise #5 with Clipper, #4 on the Odyssey. We LOVE it!! I can't speak more highly of this company and its ships. The staterooms are small, however you don't spend much time in them other than sleeping and resting in the afternoon. There is too much else to do. The bridge is open so you can go up there and chat with the crew at any time. Its also a great place to watch for whales and other sites. Most of the day is spent in activities and if it is a day at sea, it will be filled with lectures and other "group" meetings. Every evening has a cocktail party with a recap of the day's activities and what to expect for the next day. The experts give excellent lectures and really know their stuff.

Oh and before I forget, they only have 11 pax (including us) booked for this trip right now! So, they're deeply discounting their prices for this trip and the great barrier reef one (the next trip). So if you're willing to pay around $2500 per person for a 2 week adventure, this is your trip!

Just curious - where are you coming up with these special prices? I check the Clipper Cruises and Intrav web site every day and haven't seen a thing. Haven't received anything in the mail on specials either which they said they would do being a past customer.
