Half Moon Cay cabanas - which is best?

We are taking a HAL cruise in November, does anyone have a suggestion as to which color cabana is best at this stop? We don't have a clue! Thanks!

Why would you need a cabana anyway? Yes, they have air condition, but shouldn't you be spending time walking the beach, taking in all the outside activities?

By teh way, krystalpassion, I don't belief Carnival stops there.

If you want air conditioning stay on the ship! Or, swim then go back to the ship. On the ship you can go anywhere inside and not be stuck in a cabana the size of your cabin.

I am not sure if you read my other post. I stand corrected. I guess Half Moon Cay is no longer HAL exclusive. Carnival (which owns HAL) also stops there. Let's hope the 2 cruise line's ships doesn't stop in at the same time as their customers are so different.

Hi travlr
You'll find a lot of helpful info about HMC and the cabanas over on Cruise Critic boards -- go to Ports of Call thread and click Private Islands. Cabanas sound like a little bit of heaven, and get glowing reports.

After I read what people had to say, I booked a cabana for our day there in March (they seem to sell out pretty quickly). I called the Shore Excursion office, and the rep was helpful with deciding which cabana to choose. Some of the CC posts have photos attached too, so you get a better sense of what they are like. Not cheap, but hey, we're on vacation, right? ;-)
