Hello:
I am planning to book thru new ship Caribbean Princess sailing on August 28th to Eastern Caribbean.
Any experience sailing on Princess during hurricane season? What is the weather in general in Princess Cays, St. Marteen and St. Thomas?
This will be our 2nd cruise after Celeb. Constellation this past January.

Sailing during hurricane season is like going to the beach at the same time...there's always a chance for a storm. If there IS a hurricane you can be assured the ship will change course as required to avoid the rough weather; itinerary deviation, substitution of ports of call...read that boilerplate language on the back of the cruise brochure....it is a chance but I wouldn't NOT go. I've been during the "season" and never saw a storm; I've been during the "non-season" and experienced itinerary deviation. Go for it and whatever happens consider it a travel adventure.

Thank you JJ - we have a busy summer schedule ahead of us and this is the only week in the season that we can go.

i went on the same cruise itinerary on the grand princess late last august - we had the best weather i have had on board a cruise...enjoy!
