Greek Isles

Has anyone done a Greek Isles cruise with Oceania? Would like to hear your comments.

Yes - we sailed the Nautica in 2006 with Oceania to the Greek Isles, Italy - Istanbul to Venice. It stopped in Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos, Taormina, Amalifi, Kusdasia, Dubrovnik, Delos. A great itinerary and a great cruise line. Specific questions?

We sailed the Oceania Insignia from Venice to Athens. Oceania quickly became our favorite cruise line.

Ssssh, don't tell everyone, it is hard enough to get reservations now.

Thanks for your input.
Do you feel enough time was spent on each of the islands? Did you do the cruise land tours or make your own arrangements?

Of course, there's not enough time on each island--people vacation for a week or more on each one--but it is a nice way to get a taste of a place. We don't care for the ship's shore excusions--either do a self-guided historical walking tour, hire a taxi at the dock to take us where we want to go, or find fellow passengers to share a private excursion.

I ditto Abram. I would have loved to spend a couple of days drinking in Santorini's views but maybe one day! We did our own arrangements. Much cheaper and better quality than shore excursions offered by a ship.

Thanks for the heads up on tours. We have done our own in the past and they seem to be better values.
