Grandeur of the Seas
We are planning a cruise for Feb., 2001. We want to visit Aruba and the Grandeur is one of the only ship, besides a Carnival ship, that stops is Aruba. Has anyone recently sailed on this ship? We've only sailed on Celebrity's Mercury (which was awesome) and the Tropical (12 years ago when it was relatively new!!). I'm most concerned about the food, service and condition of this ship. Thanks!!!

Sailer on her 2 years ago and sail again in 19 days and counting. We loved this ship and can not wait to get back to her. We will be doing the eastern trip, I think it is November when it starts the southern trip.

Good luck and have fun.

Deborah: We are sailing on the Grandeur in 15 days! First time on RCCL We have 2 balcony rooms (cat.D) We have our 3 teen age kids in a room next door. I'll try and remember to let you know how it went. If I forget, e-mail me early May and we can talk details! Pam

Just returned and the ship still looks great. RCCL still calles this it's best ship even with the Voyager out there. The food was very good in my opinion, I never missed a meal, never sent anything back and had seconds on many nights. Eveyone at our table enjoyed the food and the service was beyond belief. Go for it and have a great time

Deborah:
We just got back from our Grandeur cruise. It was truly great! We were with 2 other families, and the dining staff went out of their way to accomodate us at one table. The food was exceptional, and presented very well. Our rooms were the largest we've had so far (we always get the lowest cat. balcony). The closet and drawer space were more than adequate! It was our 8th cruise, first with RCCL, but we will go back for more! Enjoy, Pam

Just got back from the 5/20/2000 sailing of the Grandeur. The ship was just great. The food was outstanding and the service was impecable. I would highly recommend this ship to anyone.
