From Royal Caribean to Celebrity - Galaxy!
 

We were booked this Feb. 22nd for the Monarch RCCL- Southern route. I don't know if anyoe has heard but this ship is out of commission until March - were were notified by our travel agent that the ship hit some rocks when it was airlifting someone from the ship - so we were asked if our party of 6 couples wanted to change to Sat. departure on the Celebrity, Galaxy. It would be almost the same route. She said the Celebrity was more money but that it would be taken care of because of the inconvenience (I guess Celebrity is more money)..Does anyone have any good/bad information to tell me regarding this ship. We've all said that we want to try it - we're ready for some warm weather...Would appreciate anyone's comments.

Dot, <BR> You'll love the Galaxy. It is a gorgeous ship! I have had many clients cruise on her both in the Caribbean and Alaska. The food, service and entertainment is fabulous. Plus, the accommodations are very nicely decorated. Overall, you'll be much happier on the Galaxy than the Monarch! <BR>

We have been on both cruise lines (now both owned by RCCL) and we have chosen the Galaxy for our cruise on the 27th of March. Great ports! <BR>Amy <BR> <BR>

Dear Dot: <BR> <BR>I was on the Galaxy in June, 1998 for the inside passage Alaskan cruise. I have sailed RCCL as well. The Galaxy is wonderful. It is a beautiful ship and the cleanest one I have ever been on. Have fun on your cruise. <BR>
