Freight Travel through the Society Islands, South Pacific

Single, traveling alone and exploring ways to travel through the Society Islands. I thought freight cruises would be less expensive and relaxed. The only freight that I discovered was ARanui 5 with 260 passengers. (within my budget)

Also Regent's Paul Gauguin which I believe is beyond my budget and might be a bit too fancy. Wondering if there are any others I haven't yet discovered? Can anyone advise alternative ways to explore this area of the world?

Windstar?

Another alternative: island hopping a few nights each island, traveling either by boat or plane? Would this alternative be pre arranged, or can you be spontaneous?

Thank you! Artyguy

If a cargo ship is what you want I used an agent in New Zealand, Hamish Jamieson, and can wholeheartedly recommend his service. Contact him and see if he can arrange what you want.
