Freestyle Dress Code
Hi,

If you have recently sailed on a NCL ship with Freestyle Dining, could you please tell me what passengers were wearing for dinner.
I would like to know if there are differences in the dining choices as far as how people dressed. Do you really need a jacket?
Thanks,
John

With the exception of dungarees not allowed in the dining room everybody sort of does their own thing.. I have never under stood "smart casual" Except for formal nights when my husband and I prefer to dress up he usuallly wears long pants and a collared shirt. Jackets for men aren't necessary. We haven't done the buffets for supper so I can't speak for those. Depending on the ship, the alternative restaurants may be a little more formal or not..Every cruise on NCL I find everybody has different ideas and does their own thing.

We were on a NCL ship in March. We ate in one of the dining rooms every night. I found most people dressed the same as on other cruises, formal nights only a few men had on a tux, but all in the dining room had a jacket. Casual nights most had dockers and a golf shirt. One night we were not allowed in the dining room until someone in our group changed out of shorts.
