Free room upgrades???????
 

me and my husband will be cruisin on the carnival inspiration in Nov and heard if you get there early you may get a free upgrade. Has anyone had this happen??? we are staying in catergory 6d, cabin e16(oceanveiw)I think the next up for us is a balcony room. What are my chances in getting one??? If not for free how much extra $$$$would it be???? thanks for help and advice....Kiersty

Your chances are probably slim. I've had upgrades but never from an oceanview to a balcony. Good luck just in case. If you really want a balcony you should contact your agent to see what the cost is. Sometimes they will give you a deal.

What if I don't have a travel agent???

First, whether you have a travel agent or not, it is too late to get an upgrade if you have been given a cabin number. More than likely, since you are in a 6D cabin, you have a cabin number.<BR><BR>Second, don't bother to get to the ship early if you only wish to get an upgrade. You will not get one at the pier.<BR><BR>Once you get on the ship you may go to the purser's desk and pay for an upgrade depending on availability.<BR><BR>Paul
