Does anyone know what the taxi fare is from<BR>Fort Lauderdale Airport to the area near the cruise port?

Hi Bobbie, taxi should run about 5 dollars.

Bobbi, We were told to pay $10 with 4 people, 9 pieces of luggage. If you're the only one in the taxi $5 sounds right. 10 minute ride to cruise ports.

Along the same lines, is there an Embassy Suites close to the airport and ship? If not, any suite hotels? We are two adults and two teens. Thanks.

Bobbie, There is an Embassy Suites and an Amerisuites. They are across from one another. Both are 5 minutes from the pier. Lots to do in the area. There is an Outback steakhouse between the two hotels amd a small shopping plaza incase you forget anything.<BR> We stayed at the Amerisuites last year. At the time there was a small breakfast buffet, cold cereal, yogurt, fresh pasteries in the lobby. We were lucky on departupre day, while waiting for taxi's a large bus came in picking up Princess passengers and they took us for free. Nice bonus for the 5 families.
